Introducing the PROLIGHTS Astra Profile900

by | Gear, Lighting, Production

PROLIGHTS announces the release of the Astra Profile900, a moving head designed to address the needs of lighting professionals in live productions, studios, theatres, and events. Combining brightness, adaptability, and advanced motion technology, the Astra Profile900 represents a key addition to the company’s range of professional lighting solutions.

The Astra Profile900 is available in two configurations to meet specific application requirements. The High Performance (HP) model delivers up to 43,000 lumens, suited for large-scale productions and events that demand high brightness levels. The high-quality (HQ) model, with a CRI of up to 96, is optimized for applications requiring precise color rendering, including television studios and other on-camera environments.

With a 185mm front lens and a 5°-52° linear zoom, the Astra Profile900 transitions smoothly between narrow beams and wide spots, offering the flexibility to adapt to various stage setups and creative requirements.

The fixture introduces the MotiOs motion ecosystem, which enhances control over motion speed, precision, and responsiveness. Key features of this system include faster transitions for pan, tilt, zoom, and wheels, optimized acceleration and deceleration for seamless operation, and a dedicated mode for integration with tracking systems. Auto Focus Tracking ensures focus is maintained across different zoom levels and layers, while the system’s design balances performance with the protection of critical components.

The Astra Profile900 is equipped with linear CMY+CTO color mixing and a color wheel with a high-CRI filter, providing a wide color range and balanced whites. Its additional features include dual rotating gobo wheels, an animation wheel, a four-layer framing system, dual prisms, dual frost filters, and a motorized iris, making it adaptable to a broad range of production scenarios.
