Resi: Refurbished Sale & Hardware Prices Increasing December 15

by | News, Production, Streaming

Supply chain issues over the past year have caused dramatic shortages, shipping delays, and cost increases in every industry. Resi has been fortunate enough to avoid any pricing changes for over 3 years. That being said, with the latest dramatic wave of cost increases, they’ve unfortunately been forced to evaluate their hardware prices and make adjustments as necessary.

They wanted to communicate this ahead of time so you would have the ability to purchase hardware prior to this change.

Effective December 15th, server-grade encoders, and decoders will be increasing in price from $250 to $500 depending on the model and components. Resi will be honoring their current pricing for all new hardware purchases made up until this change. You can also contact them for flexible payment plan options to get hardware purchased for upcoming needs and defer most payment until later (e.g. for when new budget cycles start, etc.).

In addition, they are offering a 20% discount through the end of the year on all refurbished encoders and decoders! This hardware has typically only been used once for a demo or event, and carries the same warranty as new. This is a great time to purchase hardware at the lowest cost to prepare for your upcoming new streaming needs. All refurbished equipment is available while stock lasts, so purchase soon to take advantage of this discount. Also, this pricing will be adjusted along with the other pricing changes on December 15th, so purchase before then to take advantage of the lowest cost.

Purchase new or refurbished hardware online or contact us by December 15 to save the most on your hardware!

My Love-Hate Relationship with the De-esser

I don’t remember ever using a de-esser in the early days of my recording career. Sure, there were a few clever engineers who would side-chain a compressor to tame certain frequency ranges, but that was rare and not always used on vocals. If a vocal was harsh or overly...
