Germany-based Voice-Acoustic has announced the expansion of its D’Appolito loudspeaker series with the debut of the new Score-8, a compact, passive 2-way design for both portable and install applications as well as stage monitoring.
It’s equipped with two horn-loaded 8-inch drivers in a proprietary D’Appolito arrangement joined by a newly developed 1.4-inch neodymium compression driver with a composite diaphragm engineered to minimize unwanted resonances. The HF driver is matched with a large, rotatable constant-directivity horn with either 60- by 40-degree or 90- by 40-degree dispersion (both horn versions shown directly below).
“The existing Score-5 has been very popular since its market launch,” says Stefan Rast, CEO of Voice-Acoustic. “With the new Score-8, we are sensibly expanding our product range without cannibalising other Voice-Acoustic products. In this way, we guarantee our Voice-Acoustic users a high value stability and investment security, which has been particularly evident on the second-hand market in the last years. Due to the extraordinary performance, the range of applications for single loudspeakers is significantly extended. The operation of four to six powerful single 18-inch subwoofers is no problem for a pair of Score-8s.”
In addition, the multifunctional enclosure offers 55- and 25-degree stage monitoring angles. There’s also an integrated tiltable pole mount and the option of using the tool-free mountable Voice-Acoustic Easyfly mechanism or the multipurpose L-bracket.
