Building God’s Way Celebrates 900th Ministry Design

by | Facilities, News

BGW Architects (Building God’s Way) announced a milestone as the company recently began design work on its 900th ministry-based project.

An industry-leader in faith-based architecture, BGW has worked almost exclusively with churches and Christian schools nationally since 1997. Since that time, BGW has helped ministry organizations across 47 U.S. states and three foreign countries to realize their God-given vision through innovative, stewardship-driven design.

From the firm’s first ministry design project for Lakeland Christian Academy in Winona Lake, Indiana to its 900th that is currently being completed for Crossroads Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, KY, BGW’s focus has been on delivering the highest level of stewardship, God-honoring relationships and intentional ministry focus.

Don Mahoney, President and Principal Architect, states, “In looking back over the 23 years since the inception of the BGW approach, we could never have dreamed of the places that God would take us or the number of ministries He would impact through us. We have been so blessed and have learned so much from the wisdom of our ministry clients and our great strategic partners along the way. We are excited about what the future holds as we set our sights on 1,000 designs!”.

The BGW concept originated from the personal mission of BGW Founder Emeritus Dan Cook and his calling to transform the broken “world’s way” of design and construction. Over the years, it has grown into a national movement with a network of strategic partners extending beyond architecture and construction, covering everything from mission and vision to building supplies, funding, for-profit business partners and more.

Now an employee-owned company headquartered in Ogden, Utah, BGW has experienced tremendous growth in the professional development of its staff in recent years, expanding from 2 licensed architects to 10. BGW Architects is also staffed with a team of highly trained designers, drafters, project managers, as well as personnel in the areas of business development, accounting, and administration.
