Worship Facilty Goes to InfoComm 2024!

by | Audio, Editorial, Events, Lighting, Production, Streaming, Video

We’re making our annual trek to InfoComm this week, one of the biggest shows in the AVL world. And, for the second year in a row, we’ll be sharing special issues of Worship Facility with you so you can see the latest gear being released that’s of interest to tech teams at houses of worship.

These issues will come out in the morning, to differentiate from our normal afternoon issues, because remember, they’re not coming out instead of our normal content, they’re coming out in addition to it. We hope you enjoy them. Maybe we’ll see you at the show, and if we don’t we certainly hope to see you at CFX in Chattanooga October 21-23!

My Love-Hate Relationship with the De-esser

I don’t remember ever using a de-esser in the early days of my recording career. Sure, there were a few clever engineers who would side-chain a compressor to tame certain frequency ranges, but that was rare and not always used on vocals. If a vocal was harsh or overly...
