Why the Tech Arts Conference at CFX 2024 is a Must-See Destination for Your Tech Team

by | Audio, CFX, CFX Community, Church Facilities Expo, Lighting, Production, Streaming, Training & Events, Video

This year the Church Facilities Expo (CFX) will actually be the site of four separate conferences, rather than one conference with different learning tracks. This enables attendees to pay to attend just the conference they’re interested in, or get an all-access pass for slightly more. PLUS, regardless of which option you choose, all attendees will be able to attend the Expo, which will have special events and more than 160 exhibitors!

Robust Sessions, Dozens of Speakers

Sessions at the Tech Arts Conference will cover every aspect of Worship Production, including Audio, Video, Lighting, and Streaming, presented by experts in the field. There are currently 24 speakers, with more speakers and more sessions on the way!

Key features will include:

  • skills-building sessions for the tech team + strategy and leadership sessions for the tech leader
  • audio mixing (live and streaming) | video capture and editing | filmmaking | lighting | LED walls | rigging
  • technology upgrades | purchasing | budgeting | maintenance | future-proofing
  • volunteer team development and training

Advanced learning opportunities:

Leadership Collectives

  • Worship and Tech Leader Collective

Pre-Conference Masterclasses

  • Audio Mixing for Worship
  • Mastering the Art of Creating Compelling Story Videos
  • Strategic Organizational Leadership

We’ll look more at CFX in the coming weeks, starting with the Facility Stewardship Conference next week.

The SM58: Good Enough for Bono, Good Enough for You

Today’s vocal mic market can be overwhelming—especially with wireless systems letting you change heads like you’re swapping pieces on a Lego X-Wing Fighter. A $100 SM58 capsule? Done. A Neumann KK 105 at ten times the cost? Yours if you’ve got the cash. For young...
